ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has released the details of available posts for candidates appearing in the Central Superior Services (CSS) Examination 2024.

According to a press note issued by the FPSC, a total of 364 positions have been allocated across various federal departments and divisions, including 247 new vacancies and 117 carryover posts from previous years.

Out of the total seats, 214 have been reserved for open merit, 32 for women, and 118 for minorities, the statement added.

According to the official press release, the total vacancies include 247 new openings and 117 backlog seats from previous years. These positions will be filled under different quotas to ensure fair representation, including open merit, women, and minority quotas.

Regionally, Punjab leads with 179 vacancies, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 48, and Balochistan with 31 seats. Sindh’s rural and urban areas have 32 and 29 vacancies respectively, while Ex-FATA, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan have 15, 8, and 4 seats each.

Successful candidates will be assigned to various occupational groups after the CSS 2024 results are announced, marking the beginning of their careers in Pakistan’s civil services. This release serves as an important update for aspirants preparing to compete for these prestigious positions.
