Pakistan, China Celebrate 60 Years of friendship with fashion show at “Great Wall”

The Pakistan Embassy in Beijing, in partnership with the China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC), hosted the first-ever Pakistan-China Fashion Show at the Great Wall of China.

Renowned Pakistani designers Maheen Khan, Moazzam Abbasi, Ayesha Tariq, Rizwaullah, and Zain Hashmi showcased collections blending Pakistani and Chinese styles. China-based Pakistani designer Aqeel Chaudhary also displayed his stunning jewelry line. The show featured creations by well-known Chinese designer Ms. Liang Suyun, while Adnan Ansari from Riwayat curated the entire event.

Senior Chinese officials, business leaders, diplomats, and media representatives attended the grand fashion showcase.

Speaking at the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, said that hosting the show at the Great Wall was “a perfect way to celebrate the Silk Road’s spirit a modern bridge of art, fabric, and friendship.” He highlighted that the event marked 60 years since the first Pakistani dignitary visited the Great Wall, adding that it reflected the growing fusion between Pakistani creativity and China’s thriving fashion market.

CICCC Chairman Long Yuxiang called the event a symbol of strong cultural and people-to-people ties between the two countries. He said that Pakistan and China share a deep cultural heritage and a shared passion for creative expression, vowing to further promote collaborative fashion projects and new design ideas.
