Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has strongly responded to threats from US President Donald Trump, asserting that the country will not bow to its enemies. In a statement, Khamenei said Iran will never retreat and will force its adversaries to submit.

He further addressed the ongoing economic unrest, explaining that when merchants and traders see financial instability, currency fluctuations, and an unpredictable business environment, their hesitation to conduct business is justified.

Khamenei emphasized that Iranian authorities are aware of these challenges, and top officials are working to resolve them, despite foreign interference contributing to instability in currency values.

Khamenei also distinguished between legitimate protests and criminal activity, stating that while dialogue with demonstrators is necessary, there is no benefit in negotiating with those causing chaos, and they should be removed from the streets.

In related comments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized President Trump’s statements, calling them irresponsible and dangerous. Araghchi stated that attacks on public property will not be tolerated and reiterated that Iranian armed forces remain on alert to defend national sovereignty.

He added that citizens protesting the fluctuating currency rates have a legitimate right to express their grievances, but any attempt to incite insecurity will face strict consequences.

The anti-inflation protests in Iran have now entered their sixth day, with schools and government offices closed. So far, nine people have been killed and 44 arrested for inciting unrest.

Tensions escalated further after US President Trump warned that America would intervene to protect peaceful demonstrators in Iran.

In response to US threats, Ali Larijani, senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that any American interference in Iran’s ongoing protests would be equivalent to spreading chaos in the region.

Larijani warned that any hand attempting to threaten Iran’s security would face severe consequences, emphasizing that the country will respond decisively to protect its sovereignty.
