Anthropic has supercharged its Cowork platform with next-level agentic plug-ins, unlocking Claude Code’s AI powers for non-technical users. The new feature lets teams automate smart workflows, turbocharge productivity, and craft bespoke solutions all without writing a single line of code.

The update is primarily designed for enterprise teams, enabling them to streamline specialized tasks across departments with highly customizable plug-ins. These modules are engineered to handle key functions such as drafting marketing content, analyzing complex datasets, or generating responsive customer support interactions.

According to Anthropic, the feature allows organizations to define how tasks are executed, which tools and data sources Claude can access, and how critical workflows are managed, ensuring consistent, reliable outputs across operations.

Matt Piccolella, a member of Anthropic’s product team, highlighted that the plug-ins are built for maximum flexibility and personalization, allowing enterprises to design tailor-made use cases aligned with their operational objectives.

As part of the release, Anthropic has open-sourced 11 internal plug-ins, while also emphasizing that additional custom plug-ins can be created, modified, and shared without any deep technical expertise. While plug-ins have been accessible within Claude Code, their expansion to Cowork introduces a more intuitive, UI-driven experience for users of all skill levels.

Piccolella further noted, “Sales has been a major focus, helping both our direct sales teams and other customer-facing employees connect more efficiently with clients and insights.”

Currently, plug-ins are saved locally on individual machines, though organization-wide sharing features are under active development, promising a future of collaborative AI-driven workflows.
