Felicitations to President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan on his historic win: PM Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated the Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon on his historic victory in the presidential election.

In a tweet, PM Khan wrote that Pakistan and Tajikistan will continue to work for regional peace and prosperity.

“Felicitations to President Emomali Rahmon of #Tajikistan on his historic win in Presidential elections. Pakistan & Tajikistan are partners in regional peace, prosperity & connectivity. I look forward to working closely with President Rahmon in further cementing our brotherly ties,” Imran Khan tweeted.

It should be mentioned here that Tajikistan has re-elected President Emomali Rahmon with 90% of the votes.

According to the details, Rahmon will be in power for another seven years. The news was announced by the electoral commission on Monday in the capital Dushanbe.

As per the authorities, the country’s five million eligible voters handed in their ballots.
