Robert Pattinson has responded to criticism about his Batman physique and says he worked hard to prepare for the role.
The actor shared that he built a home gym before filming the Batman part II. He wanted to improve his fitness and gain more muscle for his return as Bruce Wayne.
Pattinson said many people claimed he did not train enough for the first film. He strongly disagreed and explained that he exercised every day. He even trained twice a day, often starting workouts at three in the morning. The actor believes some of the criticism came from an old interview where he joked about exercise and tried to sound cool.
The actor will return as Batman in the upcoming sequel directed by Matt Reeves. The film also features Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson. Reeves recently shared a snowy bat mobile image, giving fans a small look at the new production.
Pattinson also spoke about the filming schedule. He said a stunt team member told him to expect 11 weeks of night shoots. The news surprised him because he had not yet received the full schedule.
Before returning to Gotham, Pattinson worked on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. He described the project as one of the toughest experiences of his career. The cast and crew filmed in challenging locations across Sicily. According to Pattinson, the demanding conditions left everyone exhausted by the end of each day.
Despite the challenges, Pattinson remains focused on his work. He also hopes fans now understand that he put a great deal of effort into preparing for Batman.
