UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called on countries to strengthen cooperation and support each other in tackling growing global security challenges.
Addressing police leaders from around the world at the United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit in New York, Naqvi said no country could deal with threats such as terrorism, organized crime, cybercrime, drug trafficking, human smuggling and money laundering alone.
“These threats affect all of us. No country is safe from them, and no country can deal with them alone,” Naqvi said during his address at the United Nations General Assembly Hall.

“We must work together. We must trust each other. We must share information quickly. We must support one another,” he said.
The minister said international cooperation was more important than ever as security threats continue to cross borders.
Naqvi also highlighted the growing use of technology by criminals and urged police forces to adopt modern tools to prevent emerging crimes.
“Criminals are using new technology to commit crimes, so we must also use modern technology to stop them,” he said.
