NEW YORK: A longtime footwear company is broadening its business this fall, moving into apparel and accessories through new licensing deals designed to turn its comfort-focused reputation into a wider lifestyle offering.
The new range will include hosiery, legwear, base layers, casual activewear, thermal apparel and accessories for men, women and children.
Under the agreements, partners will also develop women’s underwear and bras, along with cold-weather products and a family-themed wearable blanket planned for fall 2026.
The move builds on existing offerings in sleepwear, home products and pet accessories, giving the company a presence across more areas of everyday life.
Company President Justine Suh said the strategy is focused on extending the feeling associated with the company’s footwear into new categories.
“Dearfoams has always stood for more than slippers,” Suh said. “It represents the feeling of comfort at home and throughout everyday life.”
Founded in 1947, the company became known for foam-cushioned slippers and has since expanded its footwear range, including premium shearling styles.
Suh joined the company in January 2025 and has been leading its transition toward a broader lifestyle business. The latest deals mark another step in that strategy, shifting the company’s focus from footwear alone to a wider range of everyday products.
