Abu Dhabi has been considered the safest city in the world.

According to details, the city has been declared safest for the fifth consecutive year in Numbeo’s Quality of Life index. Abu Dhabi has won the title against 431 cities of the world.

According to the international news agency, the emirate’s score is 88.46 percent.

“This is a testament to the security and stability Abu Dhabi enjoys,” said Major General Staff Pilot Faris Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police.


According to the index, Abu Dhabi has scored 88.5 percent on its safety bar. It has also scored 11.5 percent on the crime scale, one of the lowest in the world.

Apart from that, Dubai and Sharjah are also included in the list of top 10. Dubai scores 83.49 percent, while Sharjah scores 83.59 percent in the safety index.

How to apply for a freelancer license in Abu Dhabi?

Abu Dhabi has recently announced a new ‘freelance license’ that covers 48 types of business activities. Skilled professionals can apply for a work permit without the requirement for a company’s sponsorship.

The freelance license, launched by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), is available to UAE citizens, residents, and non-residents.

The applicant can call ADDED on 02 815 8888 to register on a new account to register for the freelance license with the Abu Dhabi Business Centre on www.adbc.gov.ae.

The Abu Dhabi Business Center has an app available for both Android and Apple, named ‘AD Business Centre’.
