Sindh Government issues notification on suspension of physical classes

The Government of Sindh on Sunday notified the suspension of physical classes from nursery till grade eight owing to the spike of the novel coronavirus.

According to the notification, the classroom teaching and learning activities from class Early Childhood Education (ECE) to VIII in all the public and private institutions under the administrative control of School Education and Literacy Department, Govt. of Sindh will be suspended with effect from 06th April 2021 to 21^st April 2021.

As per the notification the home learning activities through online classes and homework assignments to be given to the students through WhatsApp/emails or in-person on weekly basis, whichever mode is feasible, shall however continue to cover the loss of academic time with the strict compliance of the guidelines notified by this department vide Notification of even number dated 27th November 2020.

“The Teaching staff shall regularly attend their institutions for homework assignments,” the notification read.
