Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar on Tuesday announced that Pakistan has achieved the target of more than 1 million vaccinations within 24 hours as the country jabbed 1.72 million people on Monday. National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) reports said.
On his Twitter, Asad posted, “Happy to report that the target we had set for 1 million vaccinations in a day was crossed yesterday with 10 lakh 72 thousand vaccinations.”

While commending the hard work of all the administrations across the country he said, “Amazing performance by all involved.”
“All federating entities contributed with Punjab, Sindh, KP and Islamabad all doing record numbers,” the federal minister said.
After the lockdown was imposed five days back, there has been a drop in COVID-19 cases, as claimed by the Sindh health department.
Before lockdown, the positivity ratio surged to 24.9%, but after fours days of lockdown, the rate went down by 4.8% to 20.1%.
