ICI Pakistan announces final cash dividend of Rs20/share

KARACHI: The ICI Pakistan has declared a final cash dividend of Rs20/share for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021, which is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs20/share already paid to the shareholders, bringing the total cash payout to Rs40/share, a bourse filing said on Thursday.

On a consolidated basis, including the results of the subsidiaries: ICI Pakistan PowerGen Limited and NutriCo Morinaga, net turnover for the year ended June 30, 2021 clocked-in at Rs64.766 billion, which is 17 per cent higher over the previous year, whereas, the operating profit at Rs8.045 billion is 43 per cent higher.

On a consolidated basis, the profit-after-tax for the year stood at Rs5.229 billion, of which the loss of Rs341 million is attributable to non-controlling interests.

This translates into the profit attributable to the owners of the holding company at Rs5.569 billion and into an earnings per share (EPS) of Rs60.30, which is 114 per cent higher, compared with the previous year.

The ICI Pakistan Limited (ICI) announced its fourth quarter of FY21 net profit of Rs990 million (EPS: Rs10.72), up 4.6 times, compared with Rs215 million (EPS: Rs2.33) during the same period of the last year.

During the fourth quarter of FY21, the net sales increased 56 per cent to Rs16.681 billion due to the higher sales across all segments along with a low base due to the lockdown during the previous year, supporting the overall jump.
