Former State Minister of Health of Pakistan Zafar Mirza said that COVID vaccines are safe in pregnancy adding that not getting vaccinated can be lethal.
While sharing two photos one of them was the young Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) Flight Lieutenant Dr Mahnoor Farzand who died due to COVID, Zafar Mirza wrote”These 2 young women lost lives to COVID19. Both were pregnant and not vaccinated as they feared about negative effects on their babies. How tragic! PLEASE NOTE : COVID vaccines are safe in pregnancy. All pregnant should get vaccinated. Not getting vaccinated can be lethal.

Note that, the young Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) Flight Lieutenant Dr Mahnoor Farzand passed away due to COVID-19 complications on Sunday, confirms the Pakistan Medical Association.
Dr Mahnoor Farzand was hospitalized at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Malir Cantt after her health deteriorated due to the virus, said PMA.
Her father had also tested positives for COVID-19 and was hospitalized.
Daughter of a retired military man, she was married and eight months pregnant, a tweet said. Her father, Colonel Farzand, had also tested positive for the contagious disease but is recovering, another acquaintance commented under the tweet.
