One killed, four wounded in Bajaur road accidents: Rescue 1122

One man was killed and four others were wounded in different road accidents in different areas of the Bajaur tribal district on Saturday, Rescue 1122 official said.

According to Rescue 1122, the first accident occurred near Sadiqabad town, where a speeding vehicle hit a motorcyclist on the Khar-Peshawar Road.

The victim was identified as Abdul Basit, was critically wounded, and died while being shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar.

The driver of the vehicle was said to belong to Rescue 1122’s Khar station. He was arrested after the accident.

Another accident took place in the Badi Samoor area of the Khar tehsil. Two motorcyclists were seriously wounded after their motorcycle skid after taking a turn, according to Rescue 1122.

The wounded were identified as Janat Gul, 30, and Owais Khan, 13. Both were shifted to the district headquarters hospital.

Other accidents occurred at the Gardai area of Utmankhel tehsil and Nawidand area of Khar tehsil, where a car and a tractor overturned. The two persons were seriously injured. They were given first aid, prior to transferring them to the hospital.

The rescuers said that the overturned car blocked the road for almost two hours.
