An anti-terrorism court (ATC) of Lahore on Wednesday extended interim bail of Hassan Niazi along with ten lawyers in Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack case, till January 20.

The investigation officer failed to present Photographic test report in today’s hearing.
The hearing court extended interim bail of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nephew Hassan Niazi along with 10 lawyers.
At the previous hearing of the case, the judge had extended Hassan Niazi’s bail until Jan 15 (today).
The judge directed all the accused to appear before the investigation officer for their photographic test.
The investigation officer had told the court that a forensic lab has been provided with video clips and images of the lawyer’s hooliganism outside the PIC.
A group of more than 200 lawyers had stormed the hospital , vandalized property and damaged dozens of vehicles.
The lawyers had an ongoing ‘tussle’ with the doctors of the PIC.
They also set ablaze a police van during their assault. At least 52 lawyers were arrested after the attack and were presented before the court.

Earlier, Pakistan senior lawyer, Aitzaz Ahsan strictly condemned the act of lawyers who attacked the PIC, Lahore.
Speaking to media, Aitzaz Ahsan termed lawyers’ violence a “shameful” act.
He added that there were many lawyers among the protesters who would be contesting elections in January.
“They destroyed defaming the legal fraternity and my head bows with shame.”
“They shouldn’t allowed to contest the polls, nor should anyone vote for them,” he added.
The senior lawyer said the Punjab Bar Council should have not given the strike call.

A violent clash between doctors and lawyers intensified as a rally attended by hundreds of lawyers stormed Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore.
The lawyers who attacked PIC also tortured information and culture minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan as he reached the spot to settle down the ongoing dispute.
The lawyers grabbed Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan and subjected him to violence.
