‘Twilight’ director warned Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson not to date

Ashley Greene, who played Alice Cullen in the popular Twilight movie, said that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s romance was not well received by Twilight directors.

Greene stated in a recent interview with Kast Media for The Twilight Effect that the directors were concerned that their relationship would severely damage the star’s on-screen chemistry.

“The studio advised against it,” she said while adding, “They saw how successful ‘Twilight’ was and the last thing they want is for the couple to get together…”

“and then hate each other and then the chemistry to be gone and that’s it.”

“So I kind of get that. But at the same time, you’re put in these situations where it’s an epic love story and it’s difficult not to catch feelings in those situations,” she added.

Before and during the production of the mage-hit, Stewart was dating Michael Angarano.

During the filming of the second portion of the film, however, the actor developed feelings for The Batman star.
