Cloe Sprouse ‘Riverdale Star’ reveals most of the cast wants the show to end

Cole Sprouse opens up about filming the long-running CW series Riverdale, no holds barred. Following the recent announcement by the network that the show was renewed for a seventh season in 2022-23 which naturally delighted fans of the twisted live-action series.

The show has been airing since 2017 and has garnered a large fandom for its unique take on the characters from Archie comics.

Cole Sprouse, who plays Jug head on the sitcom, recently spoke with GQ about his experiences working on the program. The actor was forthright in his remarks, revealing that the majority of the show’s cast members are eager to “close it up with a bow.” He went on to say that he and his co-stars are eager to move on with their lives. While he is grateful for the show, he is looking forward to furthering his own development as an actor.

Sprouse went on to say, “I’m not a part of [Riverdale’s] creative team. I don’t have any creative control at all.” He explained that they are given their scripts and told to shoot right away once they arrive on set. The actor also revealed that he was invited to direct an episode at one point but declined because he knew he would not be given the creative freedom he desired and would have to conform to the network’s demands without being able to fulfil his vision for the program.

Meanwhile, Sprouse is not only star of Riverdale who have spoken about their ambition outside the show but previously KJ Apa said in an interview that most of the cast members want to end the series and work on movies which they get the chance to do because of their packed up schedules.
