Nicholas Cage do an Ask me anything session on Reddit

Nicolas Cage recently headed to Reddit to engage in an Ask Me Anything session. In honour of his next film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, the actor discussed the subtleties of his work and answered some fan questions. Cage will star alongside Pedro Pascal, Tiffany Haddish, Lily Mo Sheen, and others in the action comedy, which will air on April 15.

During the AMA, the actor discussed his favourite film. Disclosed that he would like to make a Face/Off sequel. Even stated that he wanted David Lynch to participate in his future release. A fan in the audience spoke about Cage’s ideal role, and the actor admitted that he did have one. “I would like to portray Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo because of the character’s love of the ocean, which I share,” Cage said.

For those unfamiliar, Captain Nemo first appeared on the big screen in 1954 in the film Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. Since then, there have been other adaptations of Jules Verne’s story, as noted by Cage. However, Cage is playing a version of himself in his next action comedy. Along with Pedro Pascal as Cage’s superfan who is a billionaire and hires Cage to attend to his birthday party.
