‘It’s absolutely amazing,’ says Joe Alwyn of Taylor Swift’s honorary doctorate

Joe Alwyn was overjoyed for his girlfriend Taylor Swift after she was awarded an honorary doctorate from New York University.

According to Page Six, the Conversations with Friends star was proud of the I Knew You Were Trouble singer in an interview with Extra.

Swift receiving a Fine Arts degree is “an incredible honour, it’s absolutely amazing,” according to the actor.

The couple started dating in 2016 and announced their engagement a year later in 2017. They have, however, kept their relationship under wraps.

Swift said during her acceptance speech at NYU, “I would like to thank NYU for making me, technically, on paper at least, a doctor.”

“Not the type of doctor you’d want around in an emergency, unless your specific emergency was that you desperately needed to hear a song with a catchy hook and an intensely cathartic bridge section, or if your specific emergency was that you needed to hear a person who can name over 50 breeds of cats in one minute,” the Grammy winner added.
