A former classmate of Salvador Ramos, the Uvalde Primary School shooter, said he gave him photographs of firearms and a bag full of ammo a few days before the attack, which murdered 19 children and two adults.

The friend, who did not want his identity revealed, told CNN that he was “close” to Ramos and that they would periodically get together to play computer games.

“He sent me messages from time to time, and four days ago he sent me a picture of the AR (weapon – no.) He was using and a backpack full of 5.56 caliber cartridges about 7 chargers, “he said.

The young man said that he asked Ramos, “Brother, why do you have such a thing?” And he replied, “Don’t worry about it.”

Ramos later texted him, saying he looked “extremely different” and that he “would not know him.”

Ramos’ former colleague also stated that Ramos was mocked by other colleagues because of the clothes he wore and his family’s poverty, thus he rarely attended school.

“He stopped going to school… and eventually gave up,” Ramos’ friend stated.

After graduation, the two chatted less and less, but every few months, Ramos would send him a message or invite him to play Xbox together.
