Ukraine and the Netherlands have agreed to expand their cultural heritage and museum conservation cooperation. This was revealed by Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture and Information Policy following a virtual meeting between Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko and the Netherlands’ State Secretary for Culture and Media Gunay Uslu and her team.
“The Netherlands, in our opinion, is one of the best examples of cultural conservation, encompassing architectural, heritage, and museum requirements. We decided to work closely together in these areas “Tkachenko declared.
The minister expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their assistance in Ukraine’s battle against Russia. The Netherlands has terminated cultural connections with Russia, according to the ministry, and has supported EU measures aimed at limiting Russian television outlets.
The Dutch government announced the establishment of a EUR 1 million special fund to encourage Ukrainian artists.
Uslu backed Ukraine’s bid to participate in a pan-European endeavor to restore cultural treasure that has been destroyed.
The relevance of airing Ukrainian TV channels in the Netherlands was again emphasized by the meeting attendees.
The Ukrainian Minister thanked his Dutch colleagues for their support and expressed confidence that the two nations’ collaboration in the cultural and information areas would yield major achievements.
