Pakistan Army set up Relief & Medical Camps at Bahawalpur

Pakistan Army, amid the scorching heatwave across the country, has set up Heat Stroke Center and Free Medical Camps at Lodhran, Bahawalpur.

Keeping the rising temperature in view, the army has established the medical camps to facilitate the locals. As per details, the camps will be equipped with all medical facilities, besides well-trained doctors including eye specialists, Dermatologists, child specialists, gynecologists and medical staff along with the distribution of goodie bags for kids.

The camps have been facilitating a large number of masses and as per an estimate, nearly 1578 people including 444 adults and 151 children were treated in male OPD while 686 female patients and 297 children have cared in female OPD.

The general officer commanding also reviewed the situation at the camps and monitored the facilities while interacting with the on-duty staff. He appreciated the efforts made by the civil and military doctors/ paramedics.

Earlier, on the directives of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Bahawalpur Corps has devised a comprehensive plan to provide medical and relief facilities to drought-affected people of Cholistan in coordination with the civil administration.

As per details, a free medical and drought relief camp has been established by Bahawalpur Corps at Chanan Pir, integrating a 42-bed capacity Heat Stroke Center.

In a joint collaboration between civil-military administration, mobile health teams equipped with heat stroke treatment facilities and water bowsers are visiting 10 remote base camps established for migrants in Cholistan desert for treatment and provision of water to the population and animals.
