As per a statement released by China’s top legislature on Thursday, President Xi Jinping has chosen nine new ambassadors in accordance with a decision by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress.

Hong Xiaoyong was replaced as China’s ambassador to Singapore by Sun Haiyan.
