Last summer, the Spain international piqued United’s and Tottenham’s attention after impressing during Villarreal’s journey to the Europa League final. Torres confirmed earlier this season that turned down a move to north London.
‘This summer, my representative called me and told me that Tottenham had made me a significant offer, which was more than what I was earning at the time,’ Torres added.
