  • Julee Cruise, the vocalist from Twin Peaks, died at the age of 65.
  • In a moving farewell on Facebook, Cruise’s husband, Edward Grinnan, announced the legend’s death.

“She left this planet on her own terms,” wrote the singer’s grieving partner. “I have no regrets. She is at ease… During her changeover, I played her the song “Roam” by the B-52s. She will now roam indefinitely. “May you rest in peace, my dear,” he wrote.

Variety reports that the cause of death remains unclear. However, in 2018, the singer revealed on social media that she has been suffering from systemic lupus for some time.

“I can scarcely walk,” she wrote. It’s suddenly tough to stand. “My spine is collapsing and squeezing nerves.”

For those who are unfamiliar, the singer was best recognised for her musical collaborations with filmmaker David Lynch.
