Kid Cudi reveals premiere date for new Netflix animation

• Kid Cudi has revealed the release date for his new animated Netflix series.

• Jessica Williams, Timothée Chalamet, Teyana Taylor, 070 Shake, Vanessa Hudgens, Macaulay Culkin, and Jaden Smith will all star.

Kid Cudi the musician has revealed the release date for his brand new animated Netflix series entitled Entergalactic. Releasing the series alongside an accompanying album of the same name, Cudi revealed that the new series will be released on September 30th, 2022. 

Jessica Williams, Timothée Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Teyana Taylor, 070 Shake, Vanessa Hudgens, Macaulay Culkin, and Jaden Smith all lent their acting skills to the new Netflix project, which was recently shared with multiple images.

Entergalactic follows Jabari (Cudi), a young artist who traverses the streets of New York and encounters love, success, and much more. The new series will be directed by Fletcher Moules and written by Ian Edelman, who wrote How to Make It in America, and Maurice Williams.

Kid Cudi is no stranger to the film and television industry, having appeared in a variety of roles over the last decade, including a key role in Ti West’s horror hit X.

Ti West’s first major cinematic achievement places the filmmaker in a position of actual authority in the genre, paying homage to films like The Amityville Horror and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. West’s picture remains one of the most unorthodox horror films of the twenty-first century, paying respect to the era while toying with its sheer structure and identity, taking a deliberate, methodical approach to the genre that carefully generates mood with little regard for cliché.

The film, simply titled X, is set in 1979 and pays homage to the history of horror filmmaking, this time focusing on the adult film business that grew in popularity at the close of the twentieth century. The new film, which has been picked up by A24, follows a group of teenage filmmakers who set out to create a pornographic video in rural Texas, only to be met with unexpected animosity by the locals.
