The Mobile Wallet Adapter, a protocol for connecting mobile Solana wallets, is part of the package. This capability will function on all mobile devices, not just Android ones, claims the company.
Keeping private keys, seed phrases, and other sensitive data secure on an Android smartphone is another new feature called Seed Vault, a software custody solution.
These are effectively the passwords that unlock crypto money. Last but not least, SMS offers Solana Pay for Android, a platform that permits mobile payments.
In addition, Solana Labs will introduce a brand-new Solana dapp Store optimized for mobile devices, offering free, convenient access to Web3 applications and wallets created with Solana.
The company claims that the Solana Mobile Stack will make it possible to mint (i.e. create and distribute) NFT assets from any location, make mobile transactions on Solana simpler, give more people access to the DeFi protocols on Solana, and expand the number of ways to play Web3 games that are built on Solana.

Solana Labs will introduce its own Android smartphone dubbed Saga to aid in the distribution of Solana applications on mobile.
Early 2023 will see the launch of the smartphone, which will have top-tier, flagship-level specifications, such as a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 6.67″ OLED display, 12GB RAM, and 512GB of storage.
To support the Seed Vault feature and safeguard users’ sensitive data from assaults and exploits, Saga will have a “secure element” hardware module.
The selling cost of the phone is anticipated to be close to $1,000. Deposits of $100 are being accepted by Solana Labs, which will provide preference to Solana developers.
An exclusive NFT celebrating the introduction of the phone will be given to early purchasers. According to a press release, this NFT is a “first ticket to influence the direction of the SMS platform.”

The Solana Foundation will create a $10 million developer ecosystem fund as part of the launch of the Solana Mobile Stack in order to award awards to mobile innovators.
Raj Gokal, co-founder of Solana, said in a release that “developers can now bring the power of Solana to the computers in our pockets, not just our backpacks.”
“Solana can transform so much of what we do every day, but for this potential to be realized, we need to expand the possibilities for decentralized apps on our mobile devices.”
