KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) extended the stay order against the exhumation and autopsy of famous host Aamir Liaquat Hussain on Wednesday, reported BOL News.
The case was heard by the two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar. The court extended the stay order regarding the postmortem of the deceased till July 19.
Earlier, SHC obstructs Aamir Liaquat’s autopsy while hearing the plea of his family to reject the Judicial Magistrate’s order of exhumation of the deceased host on June 22.
Hussain died on June 9 at his residence at Khudadad Colony and no cause of his death was revealed to which the police ordered a postmortem before his burial.
The family of the deceased approached SHC against the exhumation orders and submitted a plea that was granted an immediate hearing by the court.
The hiers reached the judicial magistrate and pleaded to obstruct the autopsy adding that it could hurt the soul of their father.
The court ordered a medical examination of Liaquat and he was later buried without an autopsy. However, a plea was submitted in the judicial court requesting the exhumation of the host saying that it was mandatory to ascertain the cause of his death.
