Pakistan floods: Death toll exceeds 1300
ISLAMABAD: Flood disasters continue across the country, after which the death toll has exceeded 1300 in Pakistan, reported BOL News.
According to the report issued by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the number of people who died due to floods across the country has reached 1,325.
NDMA says that a total of 522 people died in Sindh due to rains and floods, while 260 people died in Balochistan, 189 in Punjab, 22 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 42 in Azad Kashmir.
It also said that 5,735 km of roads across the country have been affected by rains and floods, 2,500 km of roads have been damaged in Sindh while 1,500 km of roads have been damaged in Balochistan.
NDMA says that 80 districts are still affected by rains and floods while 7 lakh 50 thousand 481 cattle were also damaged.
The devastating floods have hit the country hard displacing millions of people from their hometowns. The government and other organisations along with Pakistan Army have been striving hard for the rehabilitation of the flood affectees.
