Tonight three days after the Queen’s death
The death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 and the accession of her son King Charles III to the throne that followed have been extensively covered.
But once the Queen’s casket arrives at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on Sunday, the coverage will appear to finish tonight.
Numerous shows were cancelled after the Queen passed away at the age of 96 as broadcasters covered her death in real time.
In between episodes of Picturing Elizabeth: Her Life In Images, Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen, and When The Queen Spoke To The Nation, BBC One has been airing national and regional news programmes.
Last night, a special episode of The One Show: Our Queen Remembered broadcast.
Special episodes of Songs Of Praise, Countryfile, and Antiques Roadshow will air on BBC One tonight.
Frozen Planet II, which premiered more than ten years after the first season, uses modern technology to transport viewers to some of the coldest and most inaccessible parts of the world.
The six-part series, which is voiced by Sir David Attenborough, explores “earth’s frozen environments, where life finds a way not merely to survive, but to thrive,” according to the video.
The four-year-long production has scenes of penguins diving into the water for the first time, killer whales knocking seals off icebergs, camels traversing snowy deserts, and more.
Additionally, it depicts newborn seals facing a grim start and polar bears fighting for life as their habitat heats.
“Our frozen ecosystems are disappearing at a faster rates than ever before,” Sir David warns.
The fifth episode of the second season of The Capture will then air at 9 o’clock.
Due to its emphasis on fake news and the “surveillance culture” of the country, the thriller drew in a large audience in the United Kingdom.
This could change, the BBC informed Mirror, as they can only confirm schedules for today and tomorrow at this time.
