Imran Khan calls on Aslam Iqbal to discuss various matters owing lockdown

Provincial Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal calls on Prime Minister Imran Khan is which matters pertaining to opening up different industries by the government, its impact on the industrial process in the wake of coronavirus and future line of action came under discussion.

Aslam Iqbal commended government’s decision to allow opening up less risk-proned industries and also expressed profound gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of business community. Prime Minister Imran Khan while expressing his views on this occasion emphasized that government is fully determined to take up all necessary steps for impeding the spread of coronavirus along with its prevention.

PM further maintained that we are fully aware about negative fall out on national economy by imposing lockdown, closing down business activities, poverty and its heavy impact on low paid income persons, labour as well as deprived segment of society. PM Imran Khan further stated that the government by granting permission to specific industries for opening up has also shared comprehensive SOPs with the provinces so that safety and protection of labourers and other workers can be ensured.

Prime Minister further directed Aslam Iqbal to remain in close contact with the business community and various chambers of commerce so that SOPs issued by the federal government can be fully enforced in letter and spirit.
