
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that as an independent nation government cannot put worshipers going to mosques in jail.
While doing media talks, PM Imran said we cannot stop people to going to mosques during Ramadan adding that he said he feels bad when police beating up people who are defying lockdown.
PM Imran said for balancing economic activities several countries in the world are thinking of easing lockdown restrictions adding that protecting people is also important but we cannot restrict economic activities as well.
The Prime Minister said there are countries in the world that have seen 500-600 fatalities so far, but they are easing restrictions by opening shops.
PM approves deferring utility bills of mosques, other places of worship
He said we cannot go for “indefinite lockdown” because no society can afford it as no body knows when the pandemic will end.
The premier said we don’t even know if COVID-19 cases will emerge once again or not and by opening the construction sector we had initiated to revive economic activities.
Other countries are trying to figure out that how to overcome economic hitch which they are facing due to the coronavirus. The Prime Minister once again reiterated that government’s priority is to bring people out of poverty.
Government launched “Ehsaas Ration Portal” with an aim to assist the poor segments of the society, he added.
The PM stated that Corona Relief Tiger Force members will work voluntarily for the poor and will provide them food and ration.
