Mandy Moor gives birth to her second child
Mandy Moore and their husband Taylor Goldsmith welcomed their second child, a baby boy, one month after their celebrity-studded baby shower. The now-parent of two posted the information on her Instagram “Ozzie is at hand! Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little later than expected, but he did so with style (and, much to his parents’ joy, delivered quicker and easier than his big brother).”
She talked about their love for their baby boy in her post from October 21. Every proverb is true, according to Mandy: “Our hearts have doubled in size, and the intensity of the love is breathtaking.” “We are extremely thankful for our family of four and he is beyond words!”
August “Gus” Harrison Goldsmith, who the couple welcomed in February 2021, will now have a little brother.
Mandy, 38, who married the Dawes musician in 2018, made her pregnancy first known over the summer, just a few days after the finale of her popular NBC series This Is Us.
“One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited,” she captioned an Instagram photo of her first-born. “Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall! Tour is gonna be slightly different than I expected but I can’t wait and Gus is gonna be the BEST big brother!! Xo.”
The “Candy” singer began her In Real Life tour shortly after making her revelation, but she ultimately decided to cancel the remaining dates, citing the need to “put my family, my health (and the health of my kid), first.”
Mandy reported in August that she had been diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a rare autoimmune condition that lowers blood platelet levels. She was unable to obtain an epidermal at the birth of her first kid because to a medical problem, and she expected to do so the second time around as well.
“It was awful, but I can do it one more time,” she told TODAY Parents in August. “I can climb that mountain again.”
She added, “I wish medication was an option—just the idea of it being on the table is so nice. But we’ll just push forth like we did last time.”
