Meghan Markle’s mother calls her by THIS nickname

The Duchess disclosed on November 22 that Doria Ragland, the mother of Meghan Markle, still refers to her daughter by a unique moniker that she gave her when she was a young child.

In the most recent episode of her Archetypes podcast on Spotify, the Duchess of Sussex discussed her background before marrying Prince Harry and revealed that she attended an all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles while growing up.

With guests Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Candace Bushnell, Meghan’s podcast’s most recent episode covered the subject Beyond the Archetype: Human, Being.

The topic of nicknames came up after the show started with Meghan visiting her alma mater, the Immaculate Heart all-girls Catholic school in Los Angeles. The Duchess then spoke with Pose actor MJ about her experience.

When talking about her time at the school, Meghan Ragland revealed that her mother, Doria Ragland, gave her a nickname that she is still known by today, saying: “My mom still calls me Flower. I’ll be a Flower, I’ll be a 41-year-old Flower. That’s fine.”

As she continued to discuss how her time at the institution shaped her life, Meghan said:  “They certainly were for me. And let me just say, being back there, the energy, it was… it was palpable.”

“I was happy to be back there and it was also really fun, especially when I made a surprise visit and I popped in to some of the young ladies in volleyball practice,” she continued.
