The poster for the upcoming supernatural movie Teen Wolf: The Movie, which features some cast regulars from the predecessor television series of the same name, has been unveiled by Paramount+.

As part of the long-running franchise’s upcoming January 26 premiere, Tyler Hoechlin and Tyler Posey will reprise their roles alongside brand-new characters.

The new poster, which features Posey standing in the middle and ready to wolf out, features Hoeclin at the middle of the pack with the tagline “The Pack is Back.”

The poster is artfully placed, showcasing some other returning figures like Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, JR Bourne, Colton Haynes, Melissa Ponzio, Dylan Sprayberry, and Seth Gilliam in front of the encroaching darkness.

The movie was written by Jeff Davis, the creator of Teen Wolf, and was directed by Russell Mulcahy. Nearly 13 years after the events of the series finale, the story will start in 2026.

Uncertainty surrounds the plot of the film, but Paramount+ revealed that “a terrifying evil has emerged” as a full moon rises in Beacon Hills, causing the wolves to howl once more with the aid of “Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night.”

Given that the 2011 series was a remake of Michael J. Fox’s 1985 teen comedy of the same name, Hoechlin previously told ComicBook that the movie reboot felt like “rebooting the reboot.”

Posey, on the other hand, stated that it is comforting to be able to collaborate with well-known people once more. That was awesome.

People rarely, in my opinion, have the chance to work on a project for nearly ten years, leave it for five years, and then return to it.

Fox served as the main character in the 1985 adaptation of the popular television series Teen Wolf. A sequel, Teen Wolf Too, was released in 1987 after the franchise received an animated makeover in 1986.

The franchise was then revived on MTV, where it ran between 2011 and 2017 for six seasons. Unfortunately, one of the show’s well-known actors, Dylan O’Brien, who plays Stiles Stilinski, has stated to Variety that “it was a difficult decision” to not participate in the upcoming film revival of the popular television series, will not be reprising his role.

“The show means the world to me. Since so many people there are very dear to me, it was the first thing I ever did. I tried to make it work, but everything happened very quickly. Since we all enjoy the show, it’s okay that they kind of just threw it at us without really telling us it was happening. We were attempting to understand it. O’Brien and Arden Cho will both be absent from the six-season television series’ film adaptation.
