In the midst of the World Cup excitement, an old video of a young Lionel Messi has swept the Internet. It could perhaps be Messi’s first interview ever. Initially, Newell’s Old Boys published this video on Twitter, and thereafter, several social media accounts shared it.

In the video, Messi is questioned if he is aware of his selection as the Man of the Match. In response, he responds with “no.” He was then asked to elaborate on his objective. “Federico Rosso Griggini passed the ball to Lucas, Lucas passed it to me, and I scored,” he explained.

Everyone admired the fact that Lionel Messi, even as a young youngster, recognised the contributions of his colleagues after viewing the movie.
