He is accused of setting off an explosion and having explosives in his possession with the intent to endanger life.
Detectives from the PSNI’s Legacy Investigation Branch detained the suspect in connection with the explosion that occurred at New Street in the town on November 25, 1990.
He’s scheduled to make a Saturday morning video link appearance at Ballymena Magistrates Court, according to the police.
