WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is apparently preparing a new feature that will allow users to arrange calls within group chats.

According to WABetaInfo, users will be able to choose a title, date, and time for their call, ensuring that everyone in the group is aware of when it will take place.

When the group is planning an event, members can schedule a call to discuss the details and check that everyone is available.

According to the report, the option to plan a call within group chats is presently in development and will be offered in a future update of the application.

Meanwhile, it was rumoured last week that the messaging platform was developing a new feature that would allow users to create calling shortcuts.

The new feature will allow you to establish a calling shortcut by just touching the contact cell in the list of contacts.

This functionality will be useful for users who frequently call the same person and do not want to repeat the procedure of launching the application and searching for the contact every time.
