The administration of US President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) Act enacted under former US President Barack Obama.

Note that the law is known as ‘Obamacare’ was passed in 2010, which was strongly opposed by the current US administration.

According to the details, the Trump administration told the US Supreme Court that the whole structure of Obamacare should dismantle.

It is believed that the current US President Donald Trump had promised in his election campaign to cancel the said health care program.

Five of the nine judges of the US Supreme Court ruled in favour of the Obamacare Act in 2012.

This is the third attempt to axe Obamacare, according to local media.

The Supreme Court will hear the case in its next term, which begins in October, but according to US media, the case is unlikely to be investigated before the November presidential election.

The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has reached 9.7 million, while the pandemic has so far killed 492,000 people.

In the United States, 2.5 million people are infected with the coronavirus, and a total of 126,000 people have died.
