The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that six cricketers are now eligible to join their team in England after being tested negative for coronavirus for the second time in three days.

“Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz have tested negative for Covid-19 for the second time in three days and, as such, are now eligible to join the Pakistan men’s national cricket team in Worcestershire,” the PCB stated in a statement on its website.

The players were retested on Monday following a first negative test on June 26.

The PCB will now prepare their travel arrangements and departure details will be shared in due course.

Earlier, The Pakistan cricket squad were spending time playing badminton and video games in Lahore ahead of their departure for their England tour on 30th June.

The PCB had shared a clip of the players spending leisure time with each other.

Also, a photo-shoot of the squad held ahead of their departure for England.

The Pakistan cricket team had arrived England for three Tests and as many T20Is on Sunday (28th June) despite several players testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
