Khloé Kardashian’s surgery of a facial tumour has left her “healing well.” The 38-year-old, who initially disclosed her skin cancer fear in October 2022, gave fans an update on her health on Sunday when she answered a question from one of her 295 million followers in the comments area of her most recent Instagram post.

In the post, which also featured a photo of Kardashian pouting in her home gym while donning a white cami top with the message “Happy Sunday,” a fan questioned her about a skin-colored bandage that was visible on her jawline.

In response, Kardashian said, “a bandage.” “I had a tumour on my face removed, but I’m doing great. I appreciate you asking.”

The mother of two clarified that the bandage was actually “a scar strip” when another follower enquired about it.

She continued, “I recently had a tumour removed from my face, so I wear this to promote healing and stop my scar from growing worse. Everything is terrific and mending beautifully.

The social media picture also earned a like from Kardashian’s ex Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares daughter True Thompson, 4, and a 6-month-old baby whose name they have not yet revealed. Malika Haqq, Selling Sunset actor Christine Quinn, and her BFF Malika Haqq both commented on the photo

In a series of images on her Instagram Stories from October of last year, the Kardashians star initially revealed the news of her tumour in close-up pictures of her skin.

Some of you may be wondering why I’ve been sporting a bandage on my face for the past several weeks after reading the many rumours that have been floating about, she wrote. “I noticed a small bulge on my face and thought it was just a pimple, but after finding it hadn’t moved after 7 months, I decided to get it biopsyed.”

The founder of Good American further stated that she underwent two independent biopsies, and both of the doctors felt the bump was “extremely rare” for a person her age.

A few days later, she was informed that she required immediate surgery to remove a tumour from her face. I called Beverly Hills’ greatest surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, who is a close family friend and who I knew would take excellent care of my face.

“I’m happy to report that Dr. Fischer was able to obtain all the necessary information. My margins all appear to be clear, and we can now go on to the healing phase. Therefore, here we are… You’ll still be able to see my bandages, and when I’m cleared, you’ll probably be able to see a scar (as well as the indentation left by the tumour being removed in my cheek), but in the meanwhile, I hope you’re enjoying how amazing these face bandages are turning out to be.”

Kardashian ended her tweet by expressing her gratitude that the tumour was “found early” after also disclosing that she had a melanoma removed from her back when she was 19 years old.

According to The Mayo Clinic, skin cancer is the abnormal growth of skin cells that often appears on skin that has been exposed to sunlight, namely the sun’s UV rays. Melanoma is one of the three main kinds of skin cancer, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation.
