The new psychological thriller Gaslight’s trailer stars Sara Ali Khan

Sara Ali Khan plays Meesha, a young woman who visits her family house in the upcoming movie Gaslight but soon discovers something is amiss when her father goes missing. Meesha needs a wheelchair to get about, so when she returns home, even after a few days, her father is nowhere to be found.

Her stepmother Rukmini (Chitrangda Singh), along with every other resident of the estate, is adamant that nothing be altered. Meesha, however, begins to get glimpses of her father and worries that he might be in danger as time passes. When she tells them what she has witnessed, nobody believes her, not even the cops. She must determine whether he was murdered and who might have hurt him.

Gaslight, which was directed by Pavan Kripalani, makes the implication that either Meesha is the victim of pranks or that there is a nefarious event going on that only she can see. Together with Akshay Oberoi, Shishir Sharma, and Rahul Dev, Vikrant Massey plays her father’s right-hand man Kapil in the psychological thriller.

The movie has a melancholy, brooding atmosphere. Considering that the movie’s title, Gaslight, suggests that someone is being led into something, the trailer also gives away the fact that there will be a number of secrets revealed throughout the course of the movie.

The film’s teaser from last week showed its three stars “accidentally” running into each other in an elevator as they headed to a film meeting. They are confined inside with the light turned out once everyone realises they are there for the same purpose.

On March 31, Gaslight will make its Disney+ Hotstar debut. The horror-comedy Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Yami Gautam, was the director’s most recent movie. In addition to directing Radhika Apte in Phobia, he made his directorial debut with Ragini MMS (2011). (2016).

Atrangi Re, directed by Aanand L. Rai, starred Akshay Kumar and Dhanush alongside Sara (2021). Also, she owns the movies Metro, Murder Mubarak, and Ae Watan Mere Watan. Dino is scheduled to be released this year.
