Prince Harry, Meghan Markle may decline Met Gala invite

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, may be invited to this year’s Met Gala, but the couple is unlikely to go.

According to Jordan James, a public relations specialist, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being excluded from the ceremony would not be surprising considering their continuing conflict with the Royal family.

If the couple does receive an invitation to “Hollywood’s most prestigious red-carpet event,” they will almost certainly decline because it is planned only five days before King Charles’ coronation.

“It certainly wouldn’t come as a major surprise if they were snubbed given their current status within the Royal Family and the ensuing drama,” the expert claimed.

If the California-based couple gets invited to the annual charity dinner, Jordon believes it would “boost their public perception in America.”

“They aren’t likely to attend as they will undoubtedly face scrutiny, no matter how hard they may try to minimise fallout – especially with how close this event is to the Royal Coronation,” he added.

The expert went on to examine the couple’s absence at this year’s Academy Awards, claiming a “shift” in how they’re presenting themselves.
