LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to approach the court against Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for delaying the announcement of the date of the elections.
PTI holds a position that despite Supreme Court orders, governor KP is delaying the date announcement.
PTI has started preparations regarding the legal action against the governor and PTI counsel has prepared the application in this regard.
Legal essentials will also be collected for taking action against the Governor under Article 6 of the Constitution.
Pertinently, KP governor Haji Ghulam Ali said that holding elections on May 28 is out of the question.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a special conversation with Bol News said that all the parties have one voice that the elections should be held on the same day.
He said that the letter which he has written again to the Election Commission is based on the facts, “All the concerns mentioned in the letter are a reality.”
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa further said that it is not possible to hold elections on May 28, elections will be held if the Election Commission fulfills the requirements.
