NEPRA has issued show cause notice to K Electric.
According to details, NEPRA’s investigation team is investigating the ongoing load shedding in Karachi.
NEPRA’s investigation team informed the higher authorities about the investigation and said that a show cause notice has been issued to K Electric keeping in view all the investigations.
The officials of NEPRA said that after reviewing the report of the committee, further action was decided and the inquiry committee submitted a report to the authority on the issue of K Electric.
It may be mentioned here that a meeting of the authority was held under the chairmanship of NEPRA Chairman Tauseef H. Farooqi in which Vice Chairman NEPRA and other members also participated while the investigation team presented a report on load shedding in Karachi.
The investigation team of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has recently submitted its report regarding the worst load shedding in Karachi. ۔
The report further states that K Electric violated the license.
The report also said that under the license, electricity is bound to supply electricity to consumers, not consumers responsible for the unavailability of oil to power plants.
