The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has decided to postpone two intermediate papers due to the upcoming by-polls.
In a recent announcement, BISE Lahore stated that the Chemistry annual paper, originally planned for April 20, and the English paper scheduled for April 22, have been called off.
As per the new schedule, the Chemistry exam will now take place on May 23, while the English paper has been rescheduled for May 25, 2024.
Furthermore, BISE Lahore clarified that despite the postponement, students will still sit for exams using their assigned roll numbers and examination centers.
The decision to cancel these two papers stems from concerns about the logistical complications arising from the by-elections scheduled for April 21. This move aims to ensure a smooth conduct of both the electoral process and academic assessments.
The alteration in dates seeks to prevent any disruptions caused by conflicting schedules and to uphold the fairness and integrity of the examination process.
