PESHAWAR: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a report on the loss of life and property due to rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the PDMA report, 17 people have died and 23 people have been injured in the accidents so far, while the highest loss of life and property in the rains occurred in Bajaur district.

According to PDMA, 148 cattle also died due to rains in different districts, apart from this, a total of 116 houses were damaged due to lightning.

The PDMA, district administration, and relief teams are engaged in relief activities while all roads closed due to rains have been restored for traffic.

Earlier, District and Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat, who was kidnapped from the Tank area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a couple of days ago, was safely recovered.

Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat, who was abducted from Tank by unknown assailants, has been safely recovered from the clutches of the abductors.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Adviser Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif confirmed the recovery of Sessions Judge Shakir Ullah Marwat and said that Sessions Judge has been shifted to his home safely. He said more details about the incident will be released later.
