Thousands of illegal Afghan nationals continue to return to their homeland daily through the Chaman and Torkham borders, following the end of October 31 deadline.

Temporary transit camps have been established in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan to facilitate this process.

On November 4, 2023, a substantial number of illegal Afghans departed for their homeland, with a significant concentration of them leaving through the Torkham border.

On that day alone, 7,135 illegal Afghan nationals made the journey back to Afghanistan, including 2,330 men, 1,765 women, and 3,040 children.

These returning families, totaling 260, were transported to Afghanistan in 186 vehicles, marking a continuous repatriation process.

The overall tally of repatriated illegal Afghans has now reached 182,154, emphasizing the government’s commitment to this repatriation effort.

Ensuring the safe evacuation of these individuals remains a top priority for the Government of Pakistan.

As winter approaches, welfare organizations and philanthropists in Pakistan are distributing food and essential items to those in need.

Specifically, warm clothes and shoes are being provided to Afghan children returning from Pakistan through the Torkham border, safeguarding their comfort during their journey.

The civil administration is actively involved in the distribution of these goods on humanitarian grounds.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, security agencies, and civil administration are working enthusiastically to improve facilities for both day and night migrants, while ensuring that welfare activities are conducted without hindrance.
