Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s lawyer who won the actor’s fans over during his defamation lawsuit against ex wife Amber Heard, has now talked out about their viral embrace video for the first time.

Camille, 37, claimed in an interview with Univision, “Of course I did [hug him].” He’s my buddy, but he’s also my customer, and he was going through a terrible time “according to the Spanish national newspaper Marca

“I love my clients very much, and I am Hispanic; I prefer hugging and caressing people, not kissing,” she continued. I did, however, offer him a hug because he needed one.”

During the trial, rumours circulated that Depp and Camille were having an affair, with Vasquez being particularly fond of the Pirates of the Caribbean star, publicly hugging him in court.
