Andrew Garfield got a super fan moment when he met Ralph Macchio from Cobra Kai

Andrew Garfield recently declared himself a Cobra Kai super fan. So the actor had a great fanboy moment when he ran into Ralph Macchio, the show’s lead, at the Critics Choice Awards 2022. This was Garfield’s first meeting with Macchio after the Cobra Kai cast made a special video for him wishing him luck at Tick, Tick… Boom!

Andrew was noticeably pleased to meet Macchio, who first starred in The Karate Kid movie and is now the star of Cobra Kai. Which is a Netflix spin-off series based on the flicks. Garfield was beaming as he posed with Ralph in a photo that we’re sure the actor will treasure forever.

Cobra Kai fans had been hoping for Andrew to make a guest appearance in the show’s next season. Since he announced himself a huge fan of the show. During an interview last year, showrunners Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald stated that they would be thrilled to have Garfield on board.

When asked what role the Oscar-nominated actor may play, the show’s writers said he could play an entirely different character from the rest of the cast. In an interview with Collider, the program’s creators suggested that they wouldn’t rule out Andrew’s appearance on the show. While saying that it’s “absolutely a possibility.”

Meanwhile, at the Critics Choice Awards, Garfield was nominated for Best Actor but lost to Will Smith.
